Every thought and every experience is processed though our energetic field, known as the aura, and by the energy centres we know as Chakras.

The chakras are imagined as lotus flowers. Each chakra with a different number of petals.

The chakras energise the physical body and are associated with mental, physical, emotional and spiritual well being. The chakras spin and draw in life energy to keep all aspects of our being in balance.

Base Chakra Relates to Self Awareness

The Base Chakra, also called the Root Chakra is positioned at the base of the spine and on the pelvic floor. It is responsible for our sense of stability, our feeling of belonging, plus our feeling of security and safety.  

When the basic needs of safety, food and shelter are taken care of, a sense of safety is achieved thus creating a feeling of confidence and security. The Base Chakra relates to being grounded and forms the foundation on which all the chakras above sit. A firm, solid foundation is essential for a well-balanced chakra system.

This chakra is associated with spiritual growth, a deep connection to nature, vitality, courage, self-confidence.

Sacral Chakra  - Relates to Self Respect.

The Sacral Chakra is positioned between the pubic bone and the navel. It is related to intimacy and relationships of all types including sexual relationships. This chakra can encourage balance, happiness, confidence and resoursefulness.

It is the centre for creativity.

Solar Plexus Chakra - Relates to Self Worth

The Solar Plexus Chakra is positioned around our stomach area. Is related to Self-esteem, self-worth and developing a sense of purpose.  The centre of personal power which allows you to manifest your desires.  

This chakra is where our "gut instincts" originate.

Heart Chakra -  Relates to Love/Self Love 

The Heart Chakra is positioned in the centre of the chest. It relates to the ability to give and receive love unconditionally. This chakra is also about compassion, forgiveness acceptance and empathy  This love centre of our human energy system is often the focus in bringing about healing. Learning to love yourself is a powerful way to create a healthy heart centre.

Throat Chakra - Relates to Self Expression

The throat Chakra is positioned at the throat and is related to clear communication and truth, honest self-expression and clear confident speech which in turn boosts confidence. This chakra also relates to the ability to listen and communicate compassionately.

Third eye Chakra - Relates to Self Responsibility

The Third Eye Chakra is positioned just above and between the eyebrows on the lower forehead and is related to intuition. Clearly seeing your spiritual path. It is the path to wisdom. Intuition,  mysticism, understanding. It is through an open third eye chakra that visual images are received. It helps responsibility for one's own life, to follow the soul's path and trust one's own intuition. It’s the centre for clairvoyance, telepathy and visualisation

Crown Chakra  - Relates to Self Knowledge/Spiritual Awareness

The Crown Chakra is located at the crown or top of the head. It is the connection to all that is, both on this earth and in the wider universe. It's how we connect to the higher self, with creator energy. It is the chakra through which we channel higher wisdom, guidance and inspiration.
